This fall, Les Amis du Fort de Chartres Art de vivre demonstration event will be held on Saturday, October 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the firing and general use of the Fort de Chartres stone bake oven.  Join Carol Kuntz as she shares the history of our Fort bake oven and the correct and safe firing techniques of a period oven. At this class, written materials will be provided and after completion of the class, attendees will receive a card allowing them to sign up in advance of an event or demonstration for the firing and safe use demonstrating the oven. We will break for lunch midday. Lunch is on one’s own.

The cost of this class will be $25 per person to cover the cost of class materials and the wood needed for the demonstration. Pre-registration is required with a class limit of 12 persons
