La Jardiniere - Carol Kuntz

The site’s Jardin potager is a demonstration garden reflecting the history of the regions French colonial gardens and the explorations of eighteenth-century food ways of the Illinois Country Inhabitants. 

As a lifelong gardener and Master Gardener, her personal mission with the garden is to celebrate heritage plans and encourage the rediscovery of direct sowing seeds as a means to encourage the growing of heirloom plants in home gardens that reflect Illinois French colonial history.
