This fall, Les Amis du Fort de Chartres stone bake oven class event will be held on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the firing and general use of the Fort de Chartres bake oven.  Join Carol and Nick Kuntz as they share the history of our Fort bake oven and the correct and safe firing techniques of a period stone oven. At this class, written materials will be provided and after completion of the class, attendees will receive a card allowing them to sign up in advance of an event or demonstration for the firing and safe use demonstrating the oven. We will break for lunch midday. Lunch is on one’s own. Class attendees are also welcome to participate in the Winter Rendezvous Bake Oven demonstration on Saturday, November 2.
